My family ordered Dickeys for the first time and weren't blown away, not disappointed. We called for take out and spent around $40. Our pulled pork was kind of dry and bland. The smoked ham was just like a home dinner, and the same goes for the ribs. Their Mac n cheese reminded me of a school lunch. The green beans w/ bacon left me desiring the bacon. All in all, it was, ok. I'd say this is "home cooked" type of food.

Fantastic food. Great atmosphere. The best BBQ to be had north of the Mason Dixon! Great view of the food prep area so you can watch the succulence occur. Am amazed Eau Claire has such a gem. While lacking in curb appeal, it makes up for its rustic charm and good eats. Alton Brown would be jealous. Call the food channel and hold on to your taste buds!

The food is OK. The sides are out of a box/bag for the most part. There are few fresh items on the menu. Comparable to Famous Dave's. My biggest complaint is the service. Shelby provides the worst customer service. The guy is crabby with customers and never smiles. If he doesn't hear you say "To-Go" he acts like it is your fault and gets all bucky. When you only have OK food I would expect better service.

Wow!! Garbage !!! Straight famous Dave's here!!! Got brisket from the nose which should be charred but fatty and got burnt feet!! I've done this long enough. I was craving beef brisket and knew that Dickeys was 21 minutes away by foot, so I decided to get down I miss that beautiful savory hickory meat. I walked in and the tiny old guy said he worked there for years and I had know idea what I was talking about. Pictures coming all I could think of was Texas chainsaw massacre '!!!! I paid on a card and they handed me cash back !!! Shelby said he couldn't do credit card refunds and here's cash!! Really!!!

This place isn't amazing by any means, but it's a decent choice when you just want simple comfort food. I got the pulled pork, which wasn't very flavorful, but it was okay after I covered it in BBQ sauce. The food wasn't anything special, but the overall experience was still very positive. The price is reasonable for the amount of food you get and the employees were very friendly and eager to please. I was also really excited to see fried okra - one of my favorites - on the menu!

Some of the least exciting barbecue I've had. The variety of sides and free soft serve is nice. My meal felt a little over-priced. But the main problem for me was that it just lacked that satisfying barbecue experience (I ordered ribs). Definitely mediocre at best.

We went in on Sunday a week ago since "kids eat free" on Sundays. The staff here is really great. They were exceptionally patient while we corralled our kids while trying to order. Although they had run out of one of the items we wanted, they were cooking more and gave us a sample to go. The locally sourced hickory wood gives everything a rich flavor that cannot be compared, it is the best barbecue in town! And whats not to like about free ice cream and a jumbo dill pickle with your order!

Fast Food Barb-b-que. Simple menu, a few choices (brisket, pork shoulder, chicken, sausage, stuffed potato) plus about 10 different sides. You walk in the door, get in line, place your order, pay and pick up your food. Fill up your soda and grab a table. Good food, pricey soda. Now has bottle beer, limited choices but you can get a shiner bock. For a chain, definitely a winner and one I am happy to go to when time is short.

I'm not a big fan of BBQ in the first place, but I do love me some ribs. And let me tell you, I felt like the place had taken a chew toy and lathered it in something tangy that resembled BBQ sauce. I don't want to bash a new business, but there is something extremely wrong with this place.

Excellent BBQ! There are different specials for different days of the week. The decor is not great, but food makes up for it. Very good...worth a visit for a huge lunch.

Good,,,,could get better- The best: Loved the smoked turkey, baked beans, coleslaw, clean restaurant and friendly attitude of the employees. A two meat platter to go fed two people generously for 9.50 (without beverages-added beer to the meal at home). Could be improved: The chopped brisket had good flavor but I didn't enjoy it. Quite a bit of fat gets chopped into it for an unappealing texture. I would have preferred the sliced brisket. They were out of sliced brisket, chicken and green beans. I will be back soon. Hope that the good things stay good. Especially the nice attitude of the employees. I also hope that some things improve. As for them being out of things, it was 6:30 on a Friday PM. I will try a slower time.

We stopped here after a local radio station bragged about their awesome food...and I'm glad we did!! Excellent service, great variety, delicious...down home food. Free ice cream and giant pickles as well! I love the BBQ stand and the Big Yellow Cups (reusable). We will definitely be coming back! Very glad they came to Eau Claire.
